12 Rabiul’awal – Remembering The One We Love

Dear All,
12 Rabiul’awal will fall next week, Thursday.  Do take the time to read or remember the history of the One whose birthday falls on that day.  The One and Only Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.
Remember his sacrifices for us, his ummah.  The least we, as his ummah can do is to remember him by reciting the “Selawat” –
“Allahumma salli ‘ala saiyidina Muhammad….”.
Do this many2 times…the rewards are tremendous, insya’Allah
As we are aware, the love each of us have for our Prophet s.a.w. is connected to how deep is our faith in our religion.  The deeper the faith, the more love for Allah and his Prophet s.a.w.
Loving the Prophet s.a.w is a kin to loving Allah as it is an act of obedience to Allah and a way to be closer to Him.
There’s a hadith in which Rasulullah s.a.w. was reported to have said, ““None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to him than his father, his child and all the people.” Some versions add : “his life, his wealth and his family.”
Loving the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. is akin to loving all that is beautiful, noble, truthfulness, justice, humility and inner strength which we as humans are capable of and which the Prophet s.a.w himself possessed and our dear Prophet s.a.w. had shown all these characters to us thru his actions and words which can be found in his hadiths.
As an ummah, the last ummah for the last Prophet, if we had been reading his life story, we should realize that our dear Prophet Muhammad s.a.w had suffered trials and difficulties in order to bring Islam to us.  He, Muhammad s.a.w was persecuted, hit, slandered and insulted.  Families disowned him, expelled him from his people and home while calling him of being a madman, a liar and a sorcerer.  He prevailed despite all these in order to protect the religion so that it could reach us.
I could never stop being teary-eyed whenever talking, writing or just remembering all that he was.
So dear sisters and brothers of Islam…  Let’s renew our love for our dear Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. by celebrating his birthday.
As I’ve said before, the least one can do is to recite :
Allahumma salli ‘ala saiyidina Muhammad…..
keep reciting as many as we could and take the time to supplicate to Allah to help us to sincerely love His Messenger s.a.w. and make that love to him dearer and deeper than our love to ourselves, our children, and parents.
Ameen…..

    Salam Saly,

indeed when we utter the selawat, many barakah will come to us. Keep it up and continue to do so. May we attain syafaat from Rasulullah s.a.w.

    Insya’Allah…
