Al-Fatihah. My heartiest condolences to my late uncle Abu Bakar bin Ibrahim’s family on his passing. He had just passed away and I feel so sad to see another beloved gone. 
Good to see how my aunt being strong outwardly even though she’s grieving. May Allah showers lots of blessing on the soul of my late uncle and give strength and patience to his wife and children on their lost. Ameen!
I did not stay and wait for the burial because of time constraint but while I was there I was feeling “sick” at heart watching those who came and while waiting for the burial, they keep on talking about “mundane duniawi things”. Instead of just talking, why can’t they respect the dead and keep quiet if they cannot do zikr or recite the verse of the Holy Quran? Why can’t they take the time to reflect that one day we will all be in that situation? Can’t they wait to talk about how long they have not see each other or exchanging news of each other at another time? If really can’t wait, then I think they should move to another place to talk rather than continue sitting in the home of the dead. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL!!!!
Alas, that is what I usual see and I usually won’t stay long in the premises when I see such things happening. I would rather go some other place and do my part for the one who has just passed away.
There’s lesson to be learn from all these for those who take the time to reflect. May Allah shower us with the guidance to do what is right regardless whether it is for ourselves or for others. Ameen….

Kak, inilah yg ummi tak suka… depan mayat, bincang tentang hal hal dunia. Tak insaf ker diorang tu?..susah nak cakap…
A few mths back, when my grand aunt passed away, me and all my cousins join forces, started reading surah iklas and ayat kursi in front of mayat over and over again many many times so much so that the guest who visited tak berani nak chit chat..hehe….

Salam takziah to the family. Innalillah and Al-Fatheha . you are so astute in your observations. i guess there are a lot of ppl who are still lalai in some areas..myself included. insyallah, this will serve as a reminder or a lesson to some.
